Alexis and Steven's anniversary portrait session in Uptown Charlotte last weekend was a session I won't soon forget. I had been looking forward to this session for weeks. Seriously. I met Alexis just a few short months before she married Steven. I ran into her again a few months ago at a mutual friends home, and when she told me that they were not very happy with their wedding photos I immediately told her I wanted to do a portrait session for their one year anniversary. The next day, we started planning!
Alexis and Steven are the definition of a stylish and fun-loving couple and this is exactly what I dream for when I photograph couples. I hope for laughter, joy, and down-to-earth couples with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Alexis and Steven to a T.
We were fortunate enough to have scheduled the session for what ended up being one of the most beautiful days in December. Alexis planned for her sister and parents to join us at the beginning of the session to capture beautiful memories for her family! The family coordinated so beautifully and Alexis even went all out by having the ladies hair + makeup professionally done.
We started the session on the beautiful grand staircase leading up to The Mint Museum. This is one of my favorite locations to take couples for portraits, it has a wide variety of backdrops and looks for just one 4 way intersection near the heart of Uptown Charlotte! After Alexis' family left we continued with a beautiful couples portrait session just before the sunset.
Alexis and Steven, I am beyond grateful that I got to capture these beautiful photos for you. Thank you a million times for being so incredible. Happy belated one year anniversary and I wish you a lifetime of love + happiness!
Here are a few more of my faves from their session!
